We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess deep, hands-on experience utilizing and optimizing NetSuite ERP in a fast-paced environment, coupled with a solid background in internal and external auditing. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, enhancing our use of NetSuite functionalities, and supporting strategic financial decision-making and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for general ledger accounts.
  • Generate accurate and timely internal and external financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other relevant accounting regulations.
NetSuite System Management & Optimization
  • Serve as a NetSuite Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Finance Department.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and support of the NetSuite financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition).
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to NetSuite processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop custom reports, searches, and dashboards within NetSuite to meet specific financial analysis and operational needs.
  • Assist in the training and support of other team members on NetSuite usage and best practices.
Auditing & Internal Controls
  • Lead the coordination and execution of internal and external financial audits, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Prepare and provide comprehensive audit support, including schedules, reconciliations, and explanations for complex transactions.
  • Evaluate and enhance the company's internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), documenting control procedures and testing their operating effectiveness.
  • Utilize NetSuite's features (such as user roles/permissions and audit trails) to ensure data integrity and segregation of duties (SoD).
  • Identify and remediate control deficiencies and process gaps noted during audit reviews.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a role requiring extensive, hands-on NetSuite ERP experience and significant involvement with external or internal audit functions.
  • NetSuite Proficiency: Deep functional expertise in NetSuite modules, including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and preferably, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM).
  • Auditing/Controls: Strong experience supporting external audits and documenting/testing internal controls (e.g., SOX compliance).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas).
  • Accounting Knowledge: Thorough understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Certification: CPA or CPA candidate is highly preferred.

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, Sales).
