Our client, who is a leading organization headquartered near Schenectady, NY, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative and forward-thinking finance team. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:*Prepare journal entries based on business data and ensure accurate ledger postings
*Compile and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows)
*Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in compliance with accounting standards
*Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
*Support tax return preparation and ensure adherence to tax regulations
*Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation
*Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data for decision-making
*Contribute to ongoing improvements in accounting processes and operational efficiency
*Embrace additional tasks as needed, supporting the team's mission to drive excellence and positively impact customers
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:*Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
*3-5 years of accounting experience; public accounting background preferred
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulations
*Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
*Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
*High attention to detail and accuracy
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, up to $95,000.
