Senior Accountant

- Senior Accountant will manage month-end close tasks: post journal entries, perform calculations, maintain workpapers, and analyze variances
- Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements
- Analyze balance sheet accounts, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
- Approve reconciliations prepared by staff
- Supervise daily cash accounting, ensuring proper transaction recording
- Act as the main point of contact for finance on leases and construction projects
- Maintain accounting and schedules for construction in progress and lease costs
- As a Senior Accountant, you will support budget planning and periodic forecasting
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate expense recording and classification
- Oversee credit card reconciliations
- Analyze and recommend process improvements, including technology optimization, to enhance finance operations
- Assist with the annual audit, preparing documentation and working with the external audit team
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Able to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
