POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Biostatistician will be responsible for developing high-quality evidence to support CFF’s mission to advance high-quality specialized care for all individuals with CF. Additionally, they will expand the impact of the data in the CF Foundation Patient Registry by enabling additional research through data linkages and harmonization and by increasing quality through quality controls and standardization protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct statistical analysis for research projects using state of the art analytic techniques for longitudinal modeling.
  • Prepare reports for industry to submit to FDA and EMA to meet their mandated Post-Marking Requirements for approved therapies.
  • Lead the research-focused harmonization and integration of CFFPR data with other sources (e.g. international CF registries, administrative data sets.)
  • Develop quality control and coding resources and guidelines for internal use and to be shared with external data users.
  • Implement enhancements to Data Use capabilities as outlined in the Data Roadmap.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Masters in Statistics or Biostatistics with six or more years of relevant experience.
  • Expert SAS, R and SQL programmer.
  • Ability to execute tasks independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts efficiently & clearly.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 

  • This position reports to the Director, Biostatistics. No direct reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, and temperature.
  • No heavy lifting required.
  • Minimal travel (e.g., 2x/yr.) to conferences and meetings, as necessary.
