HIG’s Healthcare Services practice (HCS), with offices throughout the US, focuses on serving private equity firm’s portfolio companies and public and private healthcare companies. Our HCS services include performance improvement/operational turnarounds, cost optimization, M&A services, finance operations, and interim management (including CFO services):
- Performance Improvement/Operational Turnaround: We draw on deep operational heritage and proven approaches to assess businesses and identify key areas impeding performance quickly and effectively.
- Cost Optimization: A&M’s cost optimization program focuses on quickly identifying high-impact opportunities for EBITDA and cash flow improvements across the entire cost structure.
- M&A Services: A&M supports companies throughout the M&A lifecycle, including conducting operational/synergy due diligence, integration planning and execution.
- Finance Operations: A&M drives improvement to its clients’ finance operations, including management reporting and optimization of the month-end close process.
- Interim Management: Experienced operators may step into interim roles (i.e. CEO, COO, CFO) to drive change while a full-time replacement is being recruited.
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with healthcare clients, focusing on the MedTech and medical device space. Responsibilities typically include:
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce cost structure by redesigning org structures and eliminating non-value-added tasks.
- Reviewing Go to Market strategies including portfolio assessments and pricing.
- Building and managing financial models and conducting financial analyses.
- Providing project management assistance and governance support to clients.
- Utilizing and/or creating project management tools to track activities and progress.
- Leveraging tools to provide efficient solutions for clients.
- Guiding clients through crisis and executing performance improvement plans.
- Developing operational data analysis to create KPI metrics.
- Summarizing and creating recommendations from data analyses.
- Leading various work streams within a project.
- Preparing client-ready deliverables and presentations.
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Building relationships with clients and seeking opportunities to expand business.
- Supporting marketing initiatives and creating marketing materials.
Who are we looking for?

- A minimum of six (6) years of prior work experience in healthcare with a MedTech focus.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.

- Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields.

Compensation Statement
The annual base salary range is $125 – $150k commensurate with experience. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
