Senior Estimator

Alquemy's Calgary client is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team.


Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, playing a critical role in project planning and execution.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in estimating software.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
