Local, regional, and national design, award-winning firm is looking for senior-level Interior Designer to join our team of residential remodeling professionals. We are passionate about design and construction and improving the way people live in their homes.

We are looking for an experienced interior designer ready to hit the ground running and design remodeling projects - ranging from kitchens, baths and additions to whole house remodels and exterior projects - for upscale homeowners throughout Silicon Valley. LOCAL CANDIDATES preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Senior Interior Designer (including but not limited to):

  • Senior-level role, leading up to (6) projects in design with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with sales and production to design and plan remodeling projects that result in signed contracts
  • Lead designer for complex, large-scope projects such as additions and whole house remodels
  • Conduct field measures; draft as-builts and construction plans for all your projects
  • Specify all finish materials; solicit bids; attend key field measures; document all project data
  • Partner with architects and engineers
  • Mentor and train junior staff, overseeing their work and providing technical guidance
  • Partner with sales in initial consultations with potential clients
  • Content provider/presenter in company-hosted seminars and webinars 

 

Qualifications of Senior Interior Designer:

  • Advance-level skills using Chief Architect, Vectorworks or AutoCAD
  • Meticulous, laser-focused attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and manage your time and workflow
  • Ability to drive complex projects from start to finish
  • Stellar client management skills
  • Clear and persuasive communicator and quick problem-solver
  • Wide knowledge of design standards and materials and residential construction practices
  • Keen understanding of design principles, aesthetics and space planning
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team setting
  • Experience with the design/build model a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based project management tools

 

Education/Experience of Senior Interior Designer:

  • Degree in Interior Design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in residential design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using CAD software
  • Proficiency with 3D rendering tools, such as SketchUp
