Senior Java Engineer

Global Financial Firm located in Tampa, FL or Jersey City, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Senior Java Engineer

"This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 2-3 days depending on the team requirement.

Job Title: Senior Java Engineer
Report to: Team Leader

Market Sales Technology department mainly supports Markets and Securities Services of Client SMB, which is one of the key businesses of investment bank industry globally. To join a team for building a Client Internal Sales Web Platform, which is an electronic distribution of Markets and Securities Services within Client SMB.

Job Responsibilities
Hands on coding of content development, including new features and maintenance.
Coding back-end service development, including new features and maintenance.
Deliver high quality work and consistently meets requirements and standards, plans.
Involving into/do system/component implementation with counterparty globally.
Communicate with Global teams for the requirements and technical details.
Takes ownership to resolve difficult issues, even when not clearly within own area.
Responsible code review and unit test for entry code implementation.

Education
Have a Bachelor/master s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics, or related majors.
With Financial knowledge or background is a plus

Required Technical Skills
Must be familiar with Core Java, Java EE, Springboot and Docker technologies.
Must be familiar with one of the modern IoC, OR-Mapping frameworks (prefer Spring)
Must be familiar with no SQL DB (prefer to Elasticsearch DB)
Experience in Distribution Cache like Redis or other Memory Cache solution.
Experience in RPC, Restful API, Hessian
Experience in large scale data maintenance.

Required Non-Technical Skills
Should have at least 3+ years working experience on Java development.
Must be comfortable participating in technical discussions.
Be a highly motivated, self-starting individual willing to work in a dynamic work environment.
Work under pressure, manage conflicts and challenges.
Must demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
