Senior Manager, Sales Compensation
About the teamThe Sales Comp Team leads variable compensation and performance reporting for all business units across Zillow Group. We provide a strategic partnership with our business partners by developing and processing compensation plans that are motivating and align with company goals in driving growth. We strive for accuracy, timeliness, and reaching several channels to execute on all of our sales compensation processes, while also providing informative analysis and data to the various groups we support.

Work closely with Sales/Operations/Strategy, Finance, and HR/Compensation/Legal teams to align on and be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales compensation plans
Ensure compensation plans are effectively supporting the various Marketplaces’ business goals and strategies while also balancing costs
Collaborate with Senior leaders to provide strategic recommendations and solutions on comp plan design, structure and pilots
Perform in-depth evaluations using market comp data/trends and benchmarking against key measures to ensure we are optimizing comp plans across all internal marketplaces
Build, Lead and Develop a team and their monthly processes around data compilation, commission/bonus calculations, statement distribution, data integrity, and compliance with policy and plans
Focus on improving standardization, automation, and scalability initiatives to generate a high-level of accuracy and efficiency in the commissions/bonuses and data-gathering process
Become the subject matter authority on all sales compensation plans, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and drivers for each business unit we support
Partner with Sales Finance Director to drive initiatives and prioritize projects related to Team/Finance OKRs and Company Objectives
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $134,800.00 - $215,300.00 Annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations.
Who you are
Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field
8-10+ years of work experience as a Compensation/Commissions Manager, Finance Manager, Sales Operations/Strategy Manager, Sales Analytics Manager, or similar role at a mid-to-large sized technology or fast-growing company, preferably internet or media industry
Strong people leader with experience managing a team or multiple teams including hiring, performance management, developing employees and consistently embodying core leadership principles
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and heWord skills and preferred experience in Salesforce, Zuora, Tableau, SQL or Anaplan (or other commissions software)
Excellent communication, presentation, time-management and organizational skills
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
