Senior Patient Service Representative - Offsite Coverage/Float (Day Shift)
Hours: 8-hour shifts during operation hours (7:00A-6:30P Mon-Thurs, 7:00A-5:30P Fri)
Float/Coverage: Supports offsite locations in West MI, including various community sites and offices
Summary: Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors; manage check-in/out, registration, insurance verification, and payments; coordinate appointments; respond to inquiries; provide clerical support; and train new staff.
Responsibilities include accurate data collection, scheduling, financial transactions, and compliance support. Emphasizes excellent customer service, teamwork, and quality improvement.
Qualifications: Associates Degree or equivalent, 12-18 months healthcare experience, strong communication and data entry skills; preferred Bachelor’s Degree and knowledge of medical coding.
Physical requirements involve primarily stationary work, frequent keyboard use, and occasional movement. Compensation starts at $20.94/hour. Mary Free Bed is an equal opportunity employer.
