Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer/Analyst to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate (AFLCMC/EB), Air Dominance Division (AFLCMC/EBA).


The Air Dominance Division has responsibility for developing, producing, and sustaining Counter-Air and Counter-Air Defense systems for our nation's warfighters and foreign military customers. These products include, but not limited to, the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM), the High-speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM) Targeting System (HTS), the HARM Control Section Modification (HCSM), and Air Intercept Missile (AIM)-9X. The division is responsible for all Foreign Military Sale (FMS) cases of AMRAAM.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • US Air Force Fighter employment expert providing operational analysis of AIM-260 requirements and system performance
  • Develops and updates system requirements documentation and Concept of Operations (COO) documents
  • Performs threat analysis and integrates results into AIM-260 requirements development
  • Contributes to system modeling and simulation efforts by reviewing model inputs and system performance results and develops Global Factor space for the modeling environment
  • Develops system performance analysis plans and verifies results. Develops system capabilities briefs and briefs operational and acquisition stakeholders
  • Serves as liaison between the program office and ACC/A8Z and OPNAV N-98
  • Provides system integration expertise to outside stakeholders, including Air Force Research Lab, HAF/A9 and ACC/A9, the Virtual Warfare Center, and industry partners
  • Supports the program Senior Materiel Lead with the application of operational expertise to acquisition strategies and program execution


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligible
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering (ABET-accredited degree required)
  • Master’s degree in engineering related field or related Ops Research field
  • 15 years of relevant experience
  • 1000 hours of 4th or 5th Gen fighter Aircraft flight time

Desired Qualification or Skills:

  • USAF Weapons School Graduate
  • F-22 experience
  • Air Force or Navy Operational Test Experience


  • Travel Required – 30%
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written, verbal, and presentation format
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative small-team environment
  • MS Office proficiency
