We seek an experienced logistics professional to coordinate end-to-end multi-modal transportation for diverse cargo, including hazardous, oversized, and general freight, across import, export, and domestic shipments.
- Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery, maintaining proactive communication throughout the process.
- Accurately enter and update shipment data, ensuring data integrity within internal systems.
- Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams for seamless logistics operations.
- Identify, onboard, and manage reliable vendors aligned with operational needs and company values.
- Recognize special handling requirements and suggest process improvements for efficiency and service quality.
- Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers and warehousing providers.
- Manage full supply chain processes, including customs support, tracking, and cost management.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance, resolving operational challenges proactively.
- Require a degree in Supply Chain or Logistics, 5+ years freight forwarding experience in the U.S., and strong knowledge of import/export operations and trade principles. Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills are essential.
