Job Description:

As a Senior Project Manager (SPM), you will oversee projects from
preconstruction through closeout—managing estimating, subcontractor
relationships, scheduling, and project execution. You will mentor
Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, build strong
relationships with field staff, and play a key role in client
communication and satisfaction. This role is ideal for a leader who
thrives in a family-oriented culture, values integrity, and is motivated
by long-term growth opportunities—including advancing into executive
leadership within Utica.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

- Lead and manage all phases of multiple construction projects, from
estimating to final delivery.

- Oversee subcontractor bidding, selection, and management to ensure
scope, budget, and quality alignment.

- Manage project financials, including budgets, cost tracking,
forecasting, and reporting.

- Utilize Procore for project management, documentation, and
communication.

- Ensure contract compliance and risk management.

- Partner closely with Superintendents and field staff to ensure
timely, safe, and high-quality project delivery.

- Build strong client relationships, acting as the main point of
contact throughout the project.

- Provide leadership and mentorship to Assistant Project Managers and
other junior staff.

- Collaborate with ownership to identify process improvements and
contribute to long-term company strategy.

Requirements:

- 8+ years of progressive construction project management experience
(general contracting preferred).

- Strong knowledge of estimating, subcontractor management, and
cradle-to-grave project delivery.

- Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Proven leadership and mentoring ability.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Commitment to fairness, honesty, and integrity in all business
dealings.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or
related field (preferred) OR equivalent construction experience is
preferred.

What Utica Offers:

At Utica, we believe our people are our greatest asset, and we back that
belief with industry-leading support and benefits:

- Car allowance for work-related travel.

- PTO based on service time — rewarding long-term commitment.

- 100% company-paid health and dental coverage for employees.

- 401(k) plan with company contribution.

- Incentive and bonus programs tied to performance.

- A family-first, employee-centered culture with exceptional
retention.

- Stability and security — never a layoff in 30+ years.

- A unique opportunity to build relationships with an experienced team
and grow into a future leadership role at Utica.
