Job Overview/Summary

Clorox is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst to join the Global Risk Management team. You will work on building new capabilities while supporting Enterprise Risk Management and having ownership responsibilities of Captive Insurance Company (Clorox’s insurance subsidiary) and Global Risk Management operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Enterprise Risk Management

+ Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and assess risk associated with existing and proposed products, partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other capital intensive projects.

+ Research, review and analyze exposures related to business opportunities, licensing agreements and other business needs.

+ Assist stakeholders in assessing the nature and severity of inherent risks and work together to identify and design risk mitigation strategies to enable smart risk taking.

+ Assist with meeting preparation activities for various board and risk committees, including but not limited to drafting agendas, materials presentation and other follow-up work.

+ Educate, communicate and facilitate the use of appropriate Enterprise Risk Management methodologies, tools and techniques by business partners.

+ Continuously drive program enhancements, build new capabilities and utilizes best practices.

Captive Insurance Management

+ Oversight of the day-to-day accounting activities and the monthly financial close process, which include but is not limited to reviewing and approving the P&L, B/S and loss reserve monitoring.

+ Lead the annual captive financial statement audit and actuarial study in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

+ Assist with meeting preparation activities for annual Captive Board meeting, including but not limited to schedule coordination, Board Book preparation, materials presentation and other follow-up work.

+ Assist with strategic projects, including but not limited to captive utilization, risk finance optimizations and other long-range initiatives.

Global Risk Management Operations

+ Lead the annual company-wide insurance premium forecast and allocation process.

+ Own and manage daily, month-end close activities for the risk management department.

+ Other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required


+ 3+ years of work experience

+ Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline

+ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to process large amounts of data

+ Strong cross-functional teamwork and project management experience

+ Self-motivated, strategic, resourceful and a strong team player.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication

+ Experience creating and understanding complex processes and teaching others how to run it

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree, College Diploma, or Equivalent (Required)
