Job Purpose

Responsible for the prospecting, selling, and closing of major opportunities.  The objective of this position is to increase CBTS' services revenues and the attach rate to hardware procurement and data center co-location customers and opportunities.

Essential Functions

  • Identify customer's business needs and financial requirements and develop solutions that provide the required "delivery" feature/benefits - 25%
  • Prospect for new customers - 25%
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers from pre-sales through post-implementation - 25%
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and industry partners to deliver managed services solutions to customers - 25%


  • Over 10 years of experience
  • Experience in solution sales
  • Project management experience
  • Experience leading work teams


  • A Master's Degree or equivalent

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to develop and deliver written and oral customer presentations
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers, prospects, and internal company resources (e.g., architects, pre-sales engineers, and sales staff)
  • Ability to create saleable solutions from business / IT challenges, issues, and problems
  • Ability to draw the logical and mathematical correlation between the opportunity presented and the possible solutions
  • Ability to create a cost/benefit analysis and communicate to customers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to make decisions impacting the relationship between the company and the customer
  • Ability to think creatively within defined parameters when presenting to customers regarding IT and budget challenges/issues

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment either on company or customer premises.
