This role involves leading the development and modification of large stamping dies to support major product launches and cost/quality improvements.
Working closely with design engineers and toolshops worldwide, you will ensure designs meet manufacturing standards, optimize tool robustness, and support production efficiency.
Responsibilities include specifying and purchasing dies, implementing tool changes, communicating project updates, and maintaining detailed documentation such as FMEA and load sheets.
Minimum requirements include a journeyman's card in tooling, 5 years as a toolmaker, strong communication skills, and a bachelor's degree.
Preferred experience includes manufacturing background, leading large metal die implementations, and proficiency in 3D software like SolidWorks or ProE.
