Responsibilities: • Responsible for engineering, deploying, and maintaining predominantly Windows based infrastructure technology for business projects and operational needs. • Own the monitoring of production system alerts and remediation of issues within the SLA. Maintain 24x7x365 uptime for all critical production systems (requires off hours support). • Build, configure and support development, QA and production application environments and all underlying on-prem server and network infrastructure and cloud-based services. • Lead the effort to improve stability, resiliency performance and capacity monitoring by leveraging Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools, centralized logging, infrastructure monitoring scripts, and other open source and commercial tools. • Coordinate and complete monthly patching, security hardening, vulnerability scanning and remediation activities in production and corporate IT environments. • Configure and support tools for automating software builds, application releases and configuration management by leveraging DevOps tools and internal scripts. • Collaborate with engineering team on third party application integrations (data exchanges, APIs, etc.) • Research, evaluate, implement, document and support IT solutions to meet business requirements. • Act as a point of escalation, provide guidance and ensure service delivery by the third-party service providers (MSP, MSSP, Data centers, and others) for infrastructure support related matters. • Research, deploy and maintain security tools and controls to protect the environment and end users from cyber-attacks. • Maintain, test, and automate operational runbooks, Disaster Recovery procedures, configuration management tasks. • Schedule, monitor and validate backup jobs for system and network configurations, databases, source code repositories. • Configure and maintain on-prem hypervisors and virtual machines, AWS, and Azure services • Provide management reports and KPIs for service, capacity, and incident management disciplines. • Follow service management rules for documenting all work in the ticketing system and adhere to change management process. • Regularly publish and keep current standard operating procedures, infrastructure, and network diagrams, and configuration guidelines. • Administer and maintain Active Directory, GPOs, IIS and other system configurations. • Maintain configurations of firewalls, switches, VPN, encryption tools. • Develop Powershell scripts to automate routine tasks, enhance monitoring and reporting capabilities. Qualifications: • Minimum 5+ years of Windows System Administration or DevOps experience supporting critical production systems. • Strong knowledge of Powershell, regex, SQL, or Python • Experience with DevOps continuous integration and deployment automation tools (e.g. TeamCity) • In-depth experience with Active Directory and related protocols desired (e.g. Kerberos, LDAP, NTP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) • Strong knowledge of Azure, AD, GPO, Microsoft365. • Hands on experience with managing AWS cloud services. • Experience with IIS web server, FTP, and mail server administration. • Ability to evaluate server/storage hardware, RAID configurations. • Experiencing with managing system and database backups. • Aptitude to work independently and multi-task efficiently to meet project due dates and complete assigned tasks on time. • Experience with system and network security and system hardening. • Strong understanding of network storage (SAN, NAS). • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently. • Strong communication and technical documentation skills. • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and methodologies. • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 45 lbs., climb ladders, and work in enclosed spaces if needed.
