PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, this role is responsible for managing and coordinating IPV (Integrated Process Validation) workshops to support vehicle launches in Assembly (A1 and A2 areas). The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to ensure thorough planning, execution, and follow-up of all IPV activities, adhering to standardized methods and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Synchronizing
- Optimizing and validating the planning results of different departments, safeguarding achievement of KPI Targets.
- IPV method process owner IPV preparation and Implementation
- Evolving the IPV method with a focus on digital transformation
- Reviewing and if necessary, evolving the new method with a focus on achieving KPI targets.
- Safeguarding implementation of the IPE method incl. new focus on achieving KPI targets.
- Proactive highlighting/proceeding in areas with high target deviation.
- Standardized measure management (SRA)
- IPE shopfloor via dashboard, already from the preparation phase
- Indicating centrally calculated target KPIs together with TOC IE
- Indicating areas with high target deviation as the basis for achieving targets.
- Standardized IPE summary
- Station readiness process owner
- IPE process owner
- Carrying out SRA qualification
- vehicle data quality for IPE, planning and preparation of disassembly work, planning and execution of cross-functional start-up team workshops and criteria workshops for SRA,
- Transparency for L3 assembly planning and process subproject management regarding KPI targets and areas with high target deviation)
- Implementing IPE (on-schedule implementation and moderation of IPE and IPE stand
- Selecting method depending on TARGET-ACTUAL deviation of the respective departments, safeguarding transparency of IPE results, measure management)
- IPE follow-up (management summary)
- Evolving IPE method
- Product planner, PGL process, process designer, product subproject
- Perform safe work practices and participate in training and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards, and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
- Work safely 100% of the time and perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Operation or Engineering Or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years’ relevant professional experience in Project planning and execution setting/role with at least two years in the automotive industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong process planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary team orientation, flexibility w/persuasive power.
- Conflict resolution ability, with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Presentation creation/delivery and meeting facilitation skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office software with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of project management and Lean management
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of Automotive IPV Process
- Spoken and written German language skills is a plus
- Advanced presentation design skills, with Think-Cell plugin experience
- Certificates for agile project management (e.g., Scrum Master) Knowledge of production and process planning
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing and production systems
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:
- Location: Vance, AL
- Schedule: Day shift, 40/h
- Assignment Start: ASAP, Long-term Contractor position.
