We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Technician with our industry-leading client in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as the first line of support for the end user, assists with problem triage, resolution and/or escalation
  • Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussions with users; Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution steps.
  • Records the action(s) taken and follow up on deferred actions
  • Reallocate problem calls to an alternative relevant support group
  • Resolves less complicated problems immediately; Is aware of and adheres to escalation procedures
  • Works with and uses a trouble ticket service desk system
  • Has intermediate knowledge of back office applications
  • Contributes to the creation and updating of service desk knowledge base articles
  • Alert management to emerging trends in incidents.
  • Provide on call support for end users in a on call rotation that may include working alternate shifts that may include an over-night shift
  • Perform trouble resolution fixes remotely or in person, including installing and upgrading software,
  • Installing hardware and configuring systems and applications.
  • Participate in company and department provided training.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems.
  • Use of MS Office Suite of software products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Self-Starter with ability to work as part of a team and individually as required by specific project needs.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Possess the traits of having patience, being thorough and innovative.
  • At least 40-hour on-site work week.
  • Flexibility to work as needed according to business needs. This may include nights, weekends, and overtime work
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
  • Must be able to physically to handle and set up technology equipment. Can require lifting to 50lbs.
