Sewing Machine Operator Orem, UT
Pay: $18+/hr (DOE)
Hours: MonThu, 5:45am4:15pm
Role:
Operate automatic, industrial sewing machines and sergers/overlocks to produce finished products according to work orders. Ensure quality, fix defects, and perform routine machine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start, test, and adjust sewing machines at the beginning of shifts
- Gather materials and parts prior to work
- Sew, repair, or attach parts as specified in work orders
- Trim excess material and threads from finished products
- Monitor operations for defects and notify supervisors
- Perform preventative maintenance (cleaning, oiling)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements / Physical:
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines and sergers/overlocks (practical test required)
- Previous manufacturing/sewing experience
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand/walk frequently, occasionally stoop or kneel
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
