SUMMARY

Arcticom, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for Arcticom, LLC at 144 E. Potter Drive, Unit C, Anchorage, AK 99518. This position is responsible for incoming and outgoing packaged products, verifying shipment contents and managing the documentation associated with the full shipping process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pick and pack items needed from requested orders for clients
  • Prepare orders and packages needed for shipping out to clients
  • Assist with audits/ inventory / cycle counts
  • Accept and perform deliveries as needed daily
  • Load and unload freight using manual pallet jack
  • Break down pallets / take out cardboard and wrapping material to trash bins
  • Perform unpacking shipment deliveries
  • Prepares shipping documents
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Consolidate shipping orders
  • Create mailing labels
  • Organize inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in
  • Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations
  • Document damages to inventory
  • Schedule truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx as needed
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks
  • Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments

NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•         Ability to lift at least 60 lbs. or more and 10 lbs. overhead. 

•         Operate the JLG, fork forklift, scissor lifts, skid loader, and sweeper with related certification. 

•         Good interaction skills.

•         This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

•         No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
