Shipping & Receiving Clerk

A growing machine shop in the League City area is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk on a direct hire basis. This position will be supporting the production team with raw material and delivery intake, packaging parts and materials for shipment, scheduling vendor services pick ups & deliveries, shipping of finished products to client locations, and some inventory control. Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of shipping & receiving experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing facility, and be well versed in managing manifests, PO's, and other shipping requirements to ensure delivery deadlines are met.

This position reports to the Production Manager, specific responsibilities may include:

·Receiving Incoming Material

• Measure and count to the pack list and PO
• Acquire the required documentation

·Inspects incoming material

• Ensure there is no damage to material
• Separate and prepare as necessary for QC

·Ensure all the materials required for Outside Service Suppliers (OSS) are available - ex: heat treat, coatings, NDT, etc.

·Stage materials as required

• Includes raw materials and landing for machined parts

·Package Parts for Shipping

• Must be packaged to ensure safe delivery

·Arrange Shipping Logistics

• Map delivery routes for the truck(s) the day before

·Generate Pack List

• For shipped products
• For returned products

·Generate PO’s for OSS

• Must include required specifications

·Coordinate Driver

• Ensure driver knows the route and packages to be dropped/picked up

• Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm - must be flexible for earlier or later hours as needed or required.

• 2+ years experience with shipping receiving
• Forklift operating experience
• ERP/MRP software experience is a huge plus
• Shipping software - FedEx, UPS, etc.

• High school diploma or GED required
