Pay Rate: $55/hr. to $66/hr. on w2 without benefits

Job Description:
Software Development Engineer II will design, build, and support scalable backend systems that power Nordstrom’s restaurant technology, including point-of-sale and labor management platforms. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams and own services end-to-end with minimal supervision.
Role & Responsibilities:
Design and develop Java / Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
Build scalable, reliable, and secure solutions for production environments.
Develop and maintain automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.
Support production systems with an operational mindset (monitoring, reliability, defect prevention).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred).
Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure tools, and monitoring/logging.
Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, regression).
Strong communication skills.
