The SPRAY TECHNICIAN'S essential purpose is to maintain the highest possible quality of appearance and condition of the golf course. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, include but not limited to:

  • To satisfactorily complete as directed, all routine greens maintenance and gardening assignments, including operating power hand towels and power riding equipment, aerification, topdressing, and other specialized maintenance procedures.
  • To apply pesticides and fertilizers using chemical application equipment in accordance with state and local regulations and to maintain said equipment.
  • To organize inventory and clean the chemical storage room.
  • Document all applications of materials.
  • To maintain, as directed, the professional appearance and operating condition of greens cups, ball marks, sand traps, cart paths, ballwashers, tee baskets, golf course amenities and equipment, field equipment, and other equipment as directed.
  • To receive, load, unload, and store, as directed, materials weighing up to 80 pounds.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Able to speak, read, and write English, and to follow simple verbal instructions. Must have minimum one year experience in golf course maintenance. Experienced in the use, maintenance, and repair of all relevant tools and equipment. Experience in greens maintenance preferred.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Safety-minded. High quality standards for production and service. Courteous, friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks approximately 50% of shift. Sits/drives approximately 50% of shift. Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 80 lbs. over short distances. Bends, stoops, reaches, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Flexibility and good reflexes required to operate power-driven machinery. Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to sun.
