SQL ETL Tester

ALTA IT Services is seeking several ETL Testers to join our direct client in the DC area. Candidates should have strong ETL and SQL skills, and preferably experience working on Big Data Projects. Please contact ebrient@altaits.com

5-8 Years Experience
• Must have knowledge and experience in testing and development life cycle methodologies.
• Experience in testing web based applications.
• Experience using Client ALM and/or an equivalent tool.
• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Software & Tools:
• Hewlett Packard Tool Suite – Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Quick Test Pro (QTP)
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Proven proficiency with: SQL and PL/SQL
• SoapUI
• Experience in Data validation for Data Migration/ Data Integration projects using SQL queries/ Manual testing
• Experience writing efficient queries to extract data from large data sets
• Proven proficiency with understanding Data Models, tables and writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with NoSQL ( Hbase, Cassandra, MongoDB) would be a great plus
• Prior experience as a Tester in Big Data project writing Hive/Impala queries would be a great plus
