The Headlines_:_

In the role of Senior Manager , BI and Analytics Data Engineering working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the North America IT Solution Delivery Business Intelligence and Analytics team. This team within IT is responsible for managing the data, integrating the data for system and/or warehousing purposes, data modeling, data science, reporting and visualization for the enterprise. As the demand for data and analytics continues to grow, so does the need to build our team.

We are looking for a new lead for our Data Engineering team. Thisposition will help manage a team of Data Engineers who support our traditional data environments but moreover, help transition the team to a more modern data architecture. With an ambition to migrate more of our data solutions to our MS Azure/Databricks analytics environment, this role will work closely with our Advanced Analytics Leads to help identify tooling, support POCs, and overall support the team technically for the platform.

The Responsibilities_:_

+ Manage a team of data engineers and provide guidance to migrate to a more modern data technology platform albeit still supporting our traditional ETL

+ Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics leaders to continue to build out the new Microsoft Azure/Databricks/Informatica Analytics platform

+ Lead the design, development, quality assurance, deployment, and transition to support of Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions to address business requirements

+ Collaborate with business leaders to understand and address business needs, including new solutions, contributing to business cases, and advising on data challenges

+ Provide subject matter expertise to colleagues such as Enterprise Architects, Information Technology Business Partners, and business Report Owners/Expert Users; notably Collaborate with Enterprise Data Architect to help develop our cloud data strategy

+ Manage internal resources and third-party strategic partners, including allocation of work, performance management, and monitoring compliance

Other Qualifications:

+ You have a Bachelor’s degree

+ 5+ years related professional experience is required

+ Familiar with Azure Cloud technologies

+ Skilled in Python, Spark, and SQL as well as skills in big data tools such as Airflow, ADLS, and Pyspark

+ Experience in traditional ETL tools such as SAP Data Services and/or Informatica

+ In depth knowledge of data, infrastructure, technologies and data engineering experience

+ Prior experience installing data architectures on Cloud providers (e.g. MS Azure, AWS), using DevOps tools and automating data pipelines.

+ You have previous experience managing direct and indirect reports

+ You are a skilled negotiator focused on the client; your constant curiosity fosters your innovative style and you can equally execute ideas given to you
