Sr. Technical Program Manager , Selling Partner Promotions

Want to build systems that enable Selling Partners to grow their business and delight Amazon customers? The Selling Partner Promotions (SPP) team is looking for a Sr. TPM to lead initiatives to build new tools to help our Selling Partners better manage their promotions such as Deals, Price Discounts and Point of Sales Discounts. This is part of the World Wide Promotions org.


You will work directly with external and internal Selling Partners, and Product and Engineering teams to build systems that unify seller and vendor promotions on a new architecture. You will be part of a wider organization that has well-defined processes (Quarterly Planning, Office Hours, Feature Intake, etc) in place to help minimize churn. You will own adapting these processes to your projects and setting up the right mechanisms to ensure delivery of highly visible goals that the SPP team owns.

Key job responsibilities

Lead multi-team projects with dependencies within and outside Selling Partner Promotions org that simplify the process of promotion creation for our Sellers, Vendors, and internal users. This includes project tracking, identifying risks, understanding requirements, and evaluating tech designs to ensure they meet requirements. You will provide regular updates about project status and risks to stakeholders and leadership by contributing to Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.


You will also own stakeholder management with more than 20 client teams that use our services and data, including intake management, communication of upcoming changes, and influencing their prioritization.


About the team

SPP team owns tools that are used by all our selling partners such as Sellers, Vendors, and internal Amazon users to create promotions such as Deals, Coupons, Price Discounts, and Point of Sales Discounts. The team in India owns sourcing of all worldwide retail promotions, and the Seller experience for Point of Sales Discounts.


Minimum Requirements

  1. 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  2. 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  3. 3+ years of software development experience
  4. Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  5. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  6. 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  7. Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
