What you will do on our Engineering Team: 

  • Lead technical designer for Horizon Levels 1, 2, or 3 projects with considerable latitude to determine technical objectives and approaches
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity with focus on creating patentable IP solutions for the organization
  • Determine feasibility of proposed new product designs based on initial new product specifications
  • Engage in multiple project timelines along with Project Management team to ensure key milestones are met successful
  • Lead schematic capture and layout software (PADS preferred) designs
  • Work with Mechanical and Firmware Engineers to optimize compatibility of electrical portions of product design
  • Work with Automated Test Group to define and implement tests for manufacturing environment
  • Complete documentation determined by internal processes
  • Lead electronic designs of products as well as design portion of all assigned product sustaining, returns reduction, and cost reduction efforts in addition to NPD projects
  • Track and measure all projects by appropriate methods as directed by Engineering Director
  • Manage contracted engineering consultants as needed
  • Provide technical training and consultation for internal and external customers
  • Direct technician and documentation staff to ensure completion of related development and sustaining activities


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline 
  • 10 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree 
  • Direct Active RF design and development experience including but not limited to antenna design, RF matching networks, RF systems integration, regulatory/certification efforts, and RF testing in production environments. (mostly sub-gigahertz)
  • Applies extensive technical expertise and has wide knowledge of other related disciplines
  • Ability to travel 15% both domestically and internationally
