The STEM Educator Intern supports hands-on science labs, design challenges, and gallery activities for diverse audiences, gaining experience in informal STEM education, youth engagement, and program facilitation.
Responsibilities include teaching science topics such as physics, chemistry, and engineering, adapting instruction for different learning styles, preparing and maintaining lab materials, and fostering positive group dynamics.
Qualifications include experience working with youth, strong communication skills, adaptability, and current enrollment in an education, science, or engineering program.
This unpaid internship runs 14 weeks (August 17 - December 11), 2 days/week (Wed-Fri), requiring standing, movement, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
