Are you a creative and collaborative individual with a passion for content creation? Our client, an established government relations practice in Washington, D.C., is seeking a Strategic Communications Executive who is experienced in helping clients navigate the intersection between social media/content creation and government and policy change. As a member of an innovative team, you will play a key role in developing the social media presence and communications strategies for the firm and their clients. If you are highly professional with experience in communications and policy with a desire to be in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop social media campaigns for clients on a variety of political issues.
  2. Manage deadlines and deliverables across client teams.
  3. Draft press releases, talking points, blog posts, and media advisories.
  4. Work with the media team to pitch stories and events.
  5. Stay informed on related news stories, and upcoming events/announcements.
  6. Work with internal and external stakeholders to create strategies that align with clients’ goals and current media trends.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Educated and experienced. Bachelor’s degree required, with at least five (5) years of experience in political communications. Experience in a communications agency or government affairs is preferred.
  2. Tech enthusiast. You are a pro at using WordPress, Canva, Sprout Social and digital marketing and grassroots mobilization tools.
  3. Self-motivated. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  4. Client-focused. Passion for delivering excellent service and producing high-quality work.
  5. Energetic. You approach your career with enthusiasm, positivity, professionalism, and dedication.
