The role involves physical substation, protection, and control engineering for high-voltage projects (12kV–500kV), from small upgrades to large transmission substations worldwide.
Responsibilities include designing yard layouts, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and wiring schematics; preparing calculations, equipment specifications, and coordinating with other departments.
The engineer will communicate with clients and team members, work independently, and mentor less-experienced staff.
Additional duties involve managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and 3+ years of substation design experience; required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, PE license, and experience in power sector project execution.
