We are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Substation Standards Engineer to lead the development and governance of engineering standards for high-voltage transmission substations.

  • Lead creation and refinement of standards, specifications, and guidelines for substation design, electrical systems, grounding, protection, and SCADA integration.
  • Perform complex analyses to support standardization, ensuring compliance with industry codes (IEEE, NESC, NEC), regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Evaluate new technologies and materials for inclusion in standards, balancing innovation with reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure standards are practical and field-tested, maintaining documentation and providing technical leadership during audits and reviews.
  • Mentor junior engineers, represent the organization in industry forums, and monitor industry trends for continuous updates.

  • Requirements include a relevant degree, 2+ years (Intermediate) or 6+ years (Senior) of related experience, strong analytical skills, effective communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-specific software.
