The YMCA in Lafayette will run Kindercamp for preschool students from June 1st-August 6th Full time and part time opportunities are available. We are looking for high energy individuals with a passion for teaching young children to work with our 3 to 6-year olds. Strong customer service skills and a positive work attitude are a must, as you will be a role model for our littles. Paid planning and preparation time will begin in late April so all will be ready for the start of summer. Our licensed summer programs provide a supportive work environment where all staff members feel valued and respected.

Assistant Teachers for Kindercamp will work with our Lead teachers and are responsible for supporting and implementing the program curriculum to meet the needs of the children and the families in the program. You'll provide care to children ranging from 3 to 6 years old, ensure a clean, safe and friendly environment for all participants and develop positive relationships with children and parents, resulting in the development of friendships, Y advocates and volunteers.


  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Willingness to participate in courses and trainings focused on child development and early childhood education.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications

Salary is $12.50-$14/hour based on experience. We offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English) And there are great benefits, too. Part time staff working more than 15 hours each week are eligible for free individual and discounted family membership as well as 25%-50% off most YMCA of Northern Colorado program fees for themselves and qualifying family members (including personal training, swim lessons, after school programs, day camp programs and more) on a space available basis. Also, we provide reduced fee/free Kindercamp for your child based on your work schedule. Additional benefits include earned sick time and contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
