The firm is known for delivering complex healthcare and large-scale commercial builds with a strong reputation for safety, precision, and long-term client partnerships.

The company is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for major healthcare construction work in the Wilmington market, including a high-profile ground-up, three-story rehabilitation hospital (~90,000 SF).

This role requires a proven jobsite leader who can independently drive execution, coordinate subcontractors, protect schedule integrity, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance in regulated environments.

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for the full scope of onsite construction leadership—from mobilization through closeout. You will serve as the operational anchor of the jobsite, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and at the level expected for healthcare construction.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to:

• Lead daily onsite construction operations for large-scale commercial and healthcare projects

• Oversee a ground-up rehabilitation hospital build, including all subcontractor sequencing and field execution

• Maintain full accountability for jobsite safety enforcement, quality control, and regulatory compliance

• Manage schedules, milestones, inspections, and coordination across multiple trades

• Partner closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and design teams to ensure alignment

• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, inspectors, and key stakeholders

• Track progress proactively, identify risks early, and resolve field-level challenges efficiently

• Ensure subcontractor accountability, productivity, and adherence to project standards

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered.

• 5–10 years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction

• Proven ability to lead large, ground-up projects with complex subcontractor scopes

• Strong field leadership, organizational discipline, and execution reliability

• Ability to work fully onsite in Wilmington, NC or relocate locally

• Deep commitment to safety, quality, and professional jobsite communication

Preferred Qualifications (Highly Valued)

Standout candidates will bring:

• Healthcare construction experience (hospitals, rehab centers, specialty medical facilities)

• Experience managing projects of 75,000+ SF or multi-story commercial builds

• Construction Management degree or equivalent hands-on field expertise
