Is this you?

  • Do you enjoy turning drawings and specs into capable, controlled supplier processes?
  • Can you spot a weak control plan from a mile away and recommend the right SPC strategy?
  • Are you at home in supplier audits, PPAP reviews, and cross-functional design discussions?

Impact you will make

Under the guidance of the Quality Leader, you will ensure design/process compatibility for current parts and new product introductions. You’ll be a key voice on cross-functional teams, confirming that both existing and new suppliers are capable and prepared to meet requirements.

What you will do

  • Determine and propose statistical process controls for critical supplier processes.
  • Own tracking and resolution of top supplier quality and productivity issues.
  • Specify inspection and test equipment required to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Supervise assigned quality process control and audit personnel.
  • Maintain test/audit quality documentation aligned to engineering specifications.
  • Support new design introduction activities and supplier readiness.
  • Serve on the process review team to help Product Engineering introduce purchased/manufactured components.
  • Provide reject and warranty data to management for ongoing analysis.

What you bring

Knowledge & Experience

  • 2–4 years in quality assurance/control (preferred).
  • QMS management experience within ISO or IATF certified organizations.
  • Applied statistical knowledge for Quality Assurance.
  • Experience working in a project team setting.
  • Exposure to AIAG methods.
  • Supplier Audits & Assessment: on-site/virtual audits of quality systems and process capability.
  • Part Qualification: PPAP (or equivalent) management for new parts.
  • Root Cause Analysis: SCARs/CAPA leadership for nonconforming materials.
  • Performance Monitoring: KPI tracking (e.g., DPM, on-time delivery) and supplier reviews.
  • Collaboration: partnering with design/manufacturing engineering on specs and tolerances.
  • Continuous Improvement: lean/quality initiatives at supplier locations.

Skills & Tools

  • Microsoft applications proficiency.
  • Problem-solving, communication, and diplomacy.
  • Blueprint literacy and familiarity with ASTM standards.
  • Experience assessing supplier quality systems and facilitating improvements.
  • SAP knowledge is beneficial.

Education

  • BS in Engineering, Quality, or Manufacturing preferred.
  • AS required with equivalent experience or ASQ Quality Engineering Certification.

Work conditions

  • Physical demands include extended sitting, some standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.
  • Some travel (including international) may be required; a valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
