A full time position is available for a uniquely qualified individual to be both the surgical scrub technician for a very busy hip and knee replacement Orthopaedic surgeon and also be the coordinator of the regenerative medicine program in our office. The position reports to the surgeon owner of the practice and also is supervised by our office manager for the day to day direction.
As the scrub tech, you are expected to scrub each and every case which on most days is 6-7 joint replacement cases or knee arthroscopy cases. You will be expected to direct the hospital and ASC scrub techs on how to set up the cases and will be the primary scrub tech on all cases in both sites. Extensive experience in joint replacement surgery is essential for consideration of this position.
As the coordinator of our regenerative medicine program, you have the responsibility to develop a working knowledge of the field of stem cells and other regenerative therapies. You will be asked to attend professional CME courses to upgrade your knowledge of this topic. Your
key responsibility will be to keep track of ordering stem cells and exosomes from various already established vendors and logging the tracking data for each patient to whom stem cells are given. The stem cells are a very time sensitive item and must be ordered and delivered in a timely manner. You must keep in contact with patients and collect follow up data on their progress. As our program is new, there is room for personal input and development of the program by a motivated individual.
Graduated from an accredited school of Surgical Technologist
Certified Surgical Technologist CST required
Medical Assistant Certification preferred
BLS Healthcare Provider is required
Minimum of 5 years of Orthopaedic OR experience required.
