Kratos is seeking a System Administrator for our Federal Software Engineering team. The position is in support of dynamic, agile projects implementing a SecDevOps approach across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, and customer support. As part of a small team, this System Administrator will design network configurations, support network/OS/software installation upgrades and troubleshooting, monitor and improve network performance, support network/OS security implementation and improvements, and generate system documentation updates. The candidate will work closely with system and hardware engineers, developers, testers, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, analyze and resolve system issues, and ensure project objectives are met.
The candidate must be self-motivated, be a self-learner, and be able to work within a dynamic schedule. Candidate must be able to organize & report status of tasks being worked and document software installation and system administration procedures. Candidate must show ability to effectively communicate with various team members as well as communicate with vendor support.
-Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Network Engineering or related. Master's degree is a plus.
-Minimum of 4 years of technical experience in Systems Administration.
-Administration and configuration of Windows Active Directory with integrated DNS server and domain policies
-Configuration and administration of Windows 7+ workstations and Windows 2012+ Servers
-Design, implementation, and configuration of physical & virtual networks and associated hardware / software
-Creation, configuration, and administration of VMware virtual machines
-Experience with Linux, Solaris, clustering technologies, and relational database management is highly desired.
-Candidate should be comfortable with the utilization of scripting (e.g., Unix Shell, Windows batch, Windows Script Files, PowerShell, Ansible) to automate software integration and system infrastructure tasks. Candidate should also have experience with monitoring and engineering backup routines as well as the utilization of storage technologies and appliances. Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), cybersecurity guidelines, system security, controls and accreditation processes is a plus.

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
