Position Description:

Enterprise Connectivity team is seeking a Systems Engineer to define, develop, launch, and support connected vehicle features globally. As a C&C Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for production support of current features and enablers in the Connected Vehicle & Services ecosystem. - Define/develop and launch connected vehicle features on Mobile App, Cloud (Company's Service Delivery Network), Smart Wearables for Command & Control. - Lead cross-functional team, and project manage product development, program integration, and ongoing production support for mobile Apps. - Work with program teams, system engineering teams, and vehicle engineering teams to launch new/enhanced/carry over features - Work with strategy teams to migrate features to new vehicle architecture. Work with Verification teams, Plants & Customers to Triage/ Root Cause / Resolve Issues. - Develop, manage and execute the test cases for Command & Control Features to meet the quality standards set by the company. - Support and manage Technical Design Reviews via systems requirements, software code reviews and Design Failure Mode Analysis (DFMEA). - Support end-to-end business process flow that cascade to vehicle components and off board application within Ford Mobility Platform. - Provide guidance and inputs for feature design verification plans working with requirements engineering teams and feature owners. - Responsible for supporting production issues and management tools to multiple sub systems. - Maintain open requirements issue list, review, track and report on progress and status in the project management tools. - Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned features - Create test plans, reports and manuals for Telematics Control Unit (TCU) performance Test Plans. - Triage Command and Control feature specific issues during different phases of the vehicle landmarks. - Be accustomed to operating agile and quickly to meet customer product demand

Skills Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for overall production support. Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and ability to work under aggressive timelines and sporadic heavy workloads. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with support personnel, application development personnel, vendors and management. Quick learner for new concepts and technologies; and change agent for improvement on process and practices. Flexibility and calmness of mind with changing demand from internal & external business requirements. Familiarity and practitioner of Agile to meet customer product demand and provide customer value. Willingness to dive into details to solve system integration challenges.

Experience Required:

- 1+ year of experience in mobile app development or issue resolution - 2+ years of experience in creating and managing system level requirements. - 1+ years of experience in creating/managing test plan and procedures. - 6+ months of experience as product owner or scrum master

Experience Preferred:

  • Strong Experience with vehicle telematics, cellular communications, telematics service providers, in-vehicle connectivity features implementations, cloud architecture, data analytics, embedded telecommunication devices. Experience in product and App. development for smart home devices, internet of things

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, computer science or similar
