The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hypertension Research Clinic is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.The candidate will assist in coordinating clinical research studies, including study maintenance. The candidate will also help with data entry and assist in maintaining study records.



General Responsibilities

  • To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
  • To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
  • To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Conducts data entry and assists in compiling data for analysis.
  2. Helps maintain quality records and tracks study progress.
  3. Supports patient care and follow-up functions of clinical studies, including scheduling and coordinating study visits.
  4. Assists in maintaining inventory of study medications under guidance.
  5. Works effectively in a team-based, multi-disciplinary clinical research environment.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.


Annual Salary Range:%2443,890 - %2471,320

Qualifications


High School diploma or GED required.



Preferences

  • Understanding of related scientific and clinical terminology.
