The position reports to the Plant Manager.\n \nResponsibilities:\n \nEnsure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift, crew or function \nReceives and disseminates written and verbal instruction, direction and training from Supervisor or other Senior Managers \nSpends more than twenty percent of time performing production tasks similar to those of other group members, and usually does troubleshooting, minor equipment maintenance or setup, etc. \nTrains group members and may participate in performance appraisal process. \nOperates from a broad scope of responsibility to maintain production schedules and to ensure quality standards are met \nEnables effective communications between management and operators. \nEnforces processing procedures and policies. \nEnsures completion operational documentation for assigned group; such as travelers, map sheets, job router, work requests to other departments, etc. \nEnsures completion of safety documentation for assigned group; such as first reports of injury, environmental mishaps, JSA\u2019s, etc \nMaintains a clean and safe work area. \nMonitors and ensures shipments are loaded and rigged properly. \nMay assist in the hiring process. \nMay serve as point of contact for customer and/or vendors\n \nEducation/Experience/Skills/Knowledge:\n \nTwo to Five Years of experience in a specific equipment function; One to two years of supervisor experience is preferred \nCertifications: Crane and Forklift \u2013 in-house training provided to obtain certification \nValid Driver\u2019s license \nAble to use computer, hand tools, and other tools specific to work area \nAble to properly use safety equipment: Hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, PPE specific to job function\n \nPrimetals Technologies offers a full range of benefits starting with first day of employment.
