Job Summary
Seeking a friendly and service-oriented Technical Services Student Worker to support daily operations and provide exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include assisting patrons with materials check in and check out processes, maintaining organized collections, and supporting programs and events. The idea candidate enjoys working with staff, faculty, and students; communicates effectively; and respects library reporting structures. Must have basic computer skills (training provided), strong organizational skills, integrity and teamwork. Ability to lift and move materials, work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends), and follow established Library policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing friendly, service-oriented assistance to all library patrons.
- Supporting daily library operations and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Assisting patrons with checkouts, returns, and general inquiries.
- Helping maintain organized and accessible library collections.
- Supporting library programs, events, and special projects.
- Collaborating effectively with staff, students, and faculty.
- Upholding and respecting library organizational structures and reporting lines.
- Utilizing basic computer skills to perform daily tasks (training provided).
- Demonstrating integrity, teamwork, and strong organizational skills.
- Following established library policies and procedures.
- Working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Lifting, moving, and shelving library materials as needed.
