DLP® is looking for an experience test engineer to support its advanced digital controller chips. This is a significant oppotunity for a senior position on a new product and test team developing DLP® Controllers. The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated leader and have a background that includes probe and final test development for complex digital circuits. + Work with design and quality teams to understand device manufacturing requirements
+ Generate test plan, create test and char program, design ATE hardware interface boards
+ Debug characterizing silicon on ATE, correlate results with bench data
+ Analyze silicon results and support failure analysis tasks
+ Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time
+ Work with production team to release products to volume production
+ Test strategy definition and implementation for new controller products
+ ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test hardware and software
+ Silicon qualification & characterization including qual hardware development
+ Comprehensive device debugging, design validation and failure analysis
+ Drive for robust and cost effective test solutions while being accountable for product quality
+ Provide remote debug support for low yields, production set up issues, test hardware issues.
+ Maintain test programs, modify as needed for quality and yield issues.
+ Test and datalog customer returns and assess failures.
+ Must be able to work independently, debug test issues over VNC (Virtual Network Connection). Available for occasional travel within Taiwan, China and US.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
+ 3 years of relevant experience
+ Good understanding of embedded processor and multi-site PCB development
+ Experienced with measuring techniques and development of tests for advanced digital controllers
+ Experienced in probe and final test development
+ Proficiency in programming/scripting in C , VBA, Python
+ Experienced in tools such as Cadence, Spotfire, IGXL Development Environment.
+ Understanding and experience with developing DFT.
+ Translate vectors from VCD to tester format
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills
+ Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
+ Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
+ Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
+ Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
+ Good understanding of electronic devices and circuits, digital and analog test techniques
+ Strong capability and experience in test automatization on ATE equipment (preferred Teradyne UltraFlex or iFlex or J750)
+ Good knowledge of PCB design requirements and critical layout best design practices
+ Knowledge and good understanding of statistical principles
+ Experienced in ATE hardware development (preferred in Cadence) and debug
+ Good understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate thoughts and information to individuals of different backgrounds in a cross functional team environment is a desire
