This position is responsible for the recording of cash receipts from the bank systems to the accounting system. Working within the Accounting Shared Services department this position will provide Accounts Receivable accounting services to Tote Inc. operating companies. This role is also responsible for the accuracy of the cash receipts as it relates to the general ledger and to ensure adherence to company policy and procedures
Essential Job Responsibilities AND Results
Responsible for accurate cash application to customer accounts and preparing periodic reports.
Assist Accounting Services Manager with the reconciliation of the A/R sub-ledger to the general ledger in order to close the A/R sub-ledger on a monthly basis
Daily reconciliation of cash batches to bank activity
Provide the collection and audit staff notifications and documentation of unequal payments.
Processing of refunds, bad debt write-offs and contributions as requested within company policy.
Perform additional duties, as assigned.
Qualifications (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS)
Associate's degree in accounting (business or related field) desired
Three years Accounts Receivable experience
KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities
Working knowledge of accounting software
Good accounting skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Must be a team player
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Good organizational skills
Attention to detail
Computer literate, with the ability to utilize standard software applications and be proficient in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
Most work requires normal physical effort.
MANUAL DEXTERITY
Requires moderate use of personal computer (word processing and spreadsheets) for compiling reports, statistical data, composing memoranda and other similar documents.

The salary range is $34, 800- 61,000, with an expected target salary of $52,000. Pay will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location and specific job duties.
