Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification) Services, is looking for a Toxologist to join our Health, Environmental and Regulatory Services (HERS) team in Arlington Heights Il. Intertek HERS delivers expert advice and practical solutions through its global network of subject-matter experts focused on delivering expert scientific, toxicological, and regulatory services.

Essential responsibilities

  • eview, analyze, and approve raw materials for consumer products by conducting chemical and toxicological hazard assessments on full material disclosures
  • Coordinate and organize non-disclosure agreements with raw material suppliers to obtain full material disclosure
  • Coordinate material testing with our global network of labs
  • Liaison with our global network of toxicologists as needed
  • Conduct risk assessments on consumer products
  • Various administrative tasks

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • PhD in toxicology, chemistry, or environmental science. A Master's degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with safety data sheets, regulatory compliance, and consumer product safety
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products. Database and programming experience is a plus.
