Who trains the trainers? As a Training Coach at UWM, you do. Your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver training to the Trainers who train our team members (whew, say that fast three times!). You will provide one-on-one coaching, as well as training on instructional design methods, corporate materials and processes for business-specific training teams. You’ll also evaluate and report successes and opportunities for improvements to senior leadership. This role requires someone with a dynamic, take-charge personality and strong classroom presence — whether it’s instructor-led or computer-based training. Think you’ve got what it takes? Read on.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Using instructional design and delivering advanced training to internal business experts and external clients (brokers)
  • Facilitating initial trainer certification training, training specialist certification training and our mentoring/coaching classes
  • Facilitating two continuous-improvement trainings per month. Conducting three one-on-one coaching sessions per week with training team members in all lanes
  • Auditing/evaluating three training classes/trainers each week or five material evaluations per week
  • Managing and maintaining training, coaching and evaluation processes for UWM corporate training and for our business training teams
  • Evaluating 50 training classes per year. Conduct 50 one-on-one coaching sessions with trainers/developers, business experts or external clients
  • Demonstrating our core values on a regular basis and consistently hitting your monthly goals
  • Actively seeking and delivering coaching and feedback in a mentoring capacity to new trainers and developers throughout the company
  • Assisting/facilitating other training or leadership training platforms as needed

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • 2+ years of corporate training experience
  • Expertly skilled at Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Training Evaluation
  • Successful completion of at least one train-the-trainer course or certification course
  • Familiarity or experience with learning management systems, training software (e.g., Captivate, WalkMe, Snagit), authoring tools and Microsoft Office
  • Activity creation and classroom facilitation
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to multitask and adapt
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Availability to work 9:00am–6:00pm
  • High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred
  • Onsite, full-time attendance

     

    Preferred:

    • Previous coaching or leadership experience
    • Mortgage industry experience
    • Bachelor's degree
