Loyola University Medical Center and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Academic Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon to join the Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery located in Maywood, Illinois.

The Division has an active Acute Care Surgery Service with an in-house 24-7 attending presence.  Primary duties encompass Trauma, SICU and Emergency General Surgery coverage.   Additional responsibilities include medical student and graduate medical education.   There is an SCC fellowship. The clinical and educational programs are closely aligned with the Burn Shock Trauma Research Institute (BSTRI). The BSTRI programs include ongoing basic, translational and clinical trial activities in wound healing, acute kidney injury, brain injury, fracture healing and alcohol associated injuries.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. This position is for full time faculty and salary will be commensurate with experience. The candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
