Job Description

To participate in the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing support of software critical to healthcare operations. To maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. To optimize performance to ensure the system effectively supports healthcare operations. To stay current on technological advancements and adapts to new developments. To provide ongoing system support through on-call duties, monitoring, and maintenance.


Key Duties & Responsibilities


1. Independently identifies and evaluates business needs and gather requirements. Partners with others in support of healthcare operations to accomplish team goals.


2. Able to provide data through visualization and documentation to analyze and monitor current system functionality as well as evaluate new requests for functionality.


3. Reviews work of peers and follows change control processes to develop, build, test and implement planned changes.


4. Maintains thorough and accurate technical and functional documentation for self. Reviews peer documentation to ensure standard is meet.


5. Evaluates system performance criteria and demonstrates basic knowledge of common industry concepts and practices to maintain a consistent approach to operational processes and procedures, mitigating risk related to Epic system operations.


6. Maintains knowledge of systems advancements and industry best practices. Stays current on training and exams for all applicable Epic certifications.


7. Performs on-call duties and provides user support by diagnosing problems and proposing solutions. Contributes to a collaborative support framework that addresses hardware, software, and process issues 24/7, demonstrating excellent customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.


8. Ensures compliance and security by following policies and regulations. Participates in annual training to maintain knowledge of HIPAA, security, and other applicable regulations.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and two (2) years of healthcare support experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.


Licenses / Certifications


Registrations Epic certification in area of support or certification obtained within 12 weeks of completing Epic training with no more than two (2) testing attempts required.
