Position Title: Universal Banker/Assistant Vice President
Location: Waverly, IL
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Universal Banker/Assistant Vice President to join our team at our Waverly, IL banking center. This role is ideal for a banking professional with strong leadership skills and experience in retail banking, customer relationship management, and operational oversight. The Universal Banker/AVP will oversee daily branch operations, provide exceptional service to customers, and assist in growing the bank's business.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with account opening, loan applications, and banking inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive deposit and loan growth.
  • Supervise branch staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of branch goals, budgets, and marketing initiatives.
  • Promote the bank's products and services to existing and prospective customers through proactive sales efforts and community engagement.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Participate in community events and professional networking opportunities to represent the bank and build relationships.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma required; additional education in business or finance is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in retail banking, customer service, or sales.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math and computer applications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical and Mental Requirements:


  • Ability to sit, stand, and move within the office for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally.
  • Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
