Commercial Sewer Job Details:

  • Schedule: Hours 6am-2:45pm
  • Pay Rate: $18-$23
Commercial Sewer Job Description:
  • Sewing: Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch and assemble fabric for furniture upholstery.
  • Pattern Use: Follow patterns and design specs to cut and sew fabric pieces accurately.
  • Quality Check: Inspect finished upholstery for defects and ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Machine Maintenance: Keep sewing machines in good working order with routine maintenance.
Commercial Sewer Job Requirements:
  • Experience: Prior experience in industrial sewing, particularly in furniture or upholstery production (JUKI & CONSEW machine experience a plus).
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and interpreting patterns.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure precision and quality in all sewn products.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy fabrics for extended periods.
  • Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a production team.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues and make quick adjustments during sewing.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sewing or upholstery is a plus.
