Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months to 1 year of medical assisting experience (preferred), and possibly a Certified Medical Assistant credential. Skills needed are knowledge of medical terminology, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
